Terms of service

Communio is a website builder for game communities, run by Greenbo Studios, Denmark. Creating an account means you accept these terms. If you are signing up for a community, a club or a company, you confirm you are allowed to accept them on its behalf.

You must be at least 15 years old to hold an account, or have a parent or guardian who accepts these terms for you.

Keep your sign-in to yourself. What happens under your account is your responsibility, so tell us at once if you think someone else has got in — write to support@communio.page or open a ticket from your dashboard.

Give us an email address that works. It is where a password reset goes, and where we write if something about your account needs your attention.

A site on yourname.communio.page, or on your own domain, with the features shown on the site at the time. We improve the product continuously, so features change; we do not remove something you rely on without saying so first.

Communio is in beta. We aim for the service to be up around the clock, but we do not promise a fixed uptime while it is free, and there is no service credit for downtime. When paid plans start, so does a written promise about availability.

Your content stays yours — text, images, rules, news, everything. You give us only the permission we need to run the service: to store it, to show it to visitors of your site, and to make backups.

You are responsible for having the right to use what you upload. Do not put up:

• Anything illegal under Danish or EU law, or anything that encourages it.
• Material that infringes someone else's copyright or trademark, including game assets and artwork you do not have a licence for.
• Harassment, threats, or content aimed at humiliating a named person.
• Sexual content involving minors, or any sexual content presented as being about a real person without their consent.
• Malware, phishing, or links meant to trick your visitors.
• Personal data about your members beyond what they knowingly gave you.

Rockstar Games and Cfx.re have their own rules for FiveM servers, including what a server may be called and what may be sold in it. Communio is not affiliated with either of them, and keeping to their rules is your job, not ours.

Use it for your own community. Do not resell access, do not try to break in or read other customers' data, do not hammer the service with automated traffic, and do not use it to send unsolicited email.

You may connect your own game server and your own Discord server. You confirm you are allowed to administer them — connecting a Discord server hands our bot the ability to give and take roles on it.

People who sign in on your site are your members, and their data is yours to look after. You are the data controller for them and we are your processor; the details are in the data processing terms, which are part of this agreement.

In practice this means telling your members what you collect and why, answering them when they ask to be deleted, and not using what you learn about them for something they did not agree to.

Every feature is free while Communio is in beta, and no card is needed. When paid plans start, we tell account holders by email first, and nothing starts costing money without you actively choosing it. Prices are shown excluding VAT unless it says otherwise; Danish VAT is added where it applies.

You can stop whenever you like. Ask us to close your account and we delete it and your sites. Ask for a copy of your content first if you want one — we will hand it over.

We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. Where it is fair to do so we warn you first and give you a chance to put it right; for something serious — illegal content, an attack on the service, content that puts someone in danger — we act immediately and tell you afterwards. A closed site is taken off the web, and you keep the right to get a copy of your content for 30 days.

We run Communio carefully, but we provide it as it is. We are not liable for indirect loss: lost members, lost income, lost data on your game server, or damage to your community's reputation. Where we are liable, it is limited to what you have paid us in the twelve months before the problem arose — and while the service is free, that is nothing.

Nothing here limits liability for gross negligence or intent, or anything else that cannot be limited under Danish law.

We may change these terms. If a change matters to you, we tell account holders by email at least 30 days before it takes effect, and you can close your account before then if you do not agree. The date at the top always shows the current version.

Danish law, apart from its rules on choice of law. Disputes we cannot settle between us go to the Danish courts. If you are a consumer, you keep every right the law in your own country gives you, and you can take a complaint to the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform.
